Role Summary

The Data Protection Officer will assist the PCCW Privacy Compliance Officer in the Group Legal Office (“GLO”) to ensure appropriate compliance with the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (“PDPO”) by all PCCW Group companies (“PCCW”).

S/he will advise and respond to enquiries from PCCW’s business units and management on the obligations and duties of PCCW under the PDPO and the PCCW privacy policy. S/he will conduct investigations and assist in preparing responses to privacy complaints made by subscribers to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner and directly to PCCW. S/he will attend to requests for subscribers’ personal data by Government agencies and others.
