Job Description
Tax Analyst II
Responsibilities: Create and maintain reporting systems to support Sprint’s Tax Audit Department. Maintain and support Sprint’s monthly compliance reporting systems. Gain an understanding of Sprint’s tax systems to support Subject Matter Experts on various company-wide projects. Utilize technology background in order to develop efficiencies and enhancements to existing (and future) tax systems and reporting. Continuously review and advise ways to streamline and automate work process and procedures. Maintain and organize tax audit data marts and reports.
Minimum Qualifications: (Job related skills, experience, and education):
B.S. Information Technology or B.S.
Strong knowledge of Base SAS and SAS macro facility
Finance/Accounting with experience in Information Technology or equivalent experience in Information Technology
Advanced knowledge of MS Office products including heavy MS Access and Excel
Knowledge of SQL preferred
Understanding of Vertex/CommTax/Quantum; knowledge of Peoplesoft financials helpful
Must be able to demonstrate strong analytical, organizational and communication skills (both written and verbal)
Ability to work independently and assist other team members
Ability to prioritize and work in a fast paced environment dealing with multiple projects
Basic qualifications include:
• Tax accounting experience
• Computer skills including Microsoft Office products
• CPA exam eligibility
