Job Description
Responsible for leading the development and execution of Sprint Nextel’s affirmative action programs and plans to ensure compliance with equal employment opportunity (EEO) requirements and with federal, state, and local regulatory requirements. Develops and implements the corporate-wide strategy and approach to align compliance requirements with business objectives.
Specific responsibilities include:
* Ensure the annual development and ongoing monitoring of multiple Affirmative Action Programs (AAPs). * Review and analyze related statistical data to drive identification, development, and execution, of appropriate actions based on analyses. * Partner with HR and business leaders to develop and execute action plans to proactively identify potential concerns, as well as remedy identified areas of concern. * Ensure thorough and timely responses to DOL, OFCCP, and other external agency requests, including compliance reports, audits, RFPs, and other requests. * Act as subject matter expert, and educate HR and business leaders on compliance requirements and their responsibilities. * Determine best practices in programs and procedures to meet business needs and demographic shifts. * Establish and maintain key partnerships across the enterprise in support of compliance requirements. * Lead and/or participate on enterprise-wide and business unit teams in implementing processes to ensure compliance with company policies & government regulations while advancing initiatives that support the company’s commitment to AA.Position requirements:
* Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and at least five years of human resources management experience in a large corporation. Experience in a multi-site environment is highly preferred. * At least three years of recent federal contractor compliance experience which must include leadership in developing and monitoring AAPs and completing successful OFCCP compliance reviews (desk and onsite). * Demonstrated ability to review and analyze statistical data and communicate its significance to multiple key stakeholders (HR, senior executives, hiring managers, etc.). * Proven ability to successfully implement initiatives within a business unit and/or corporate environment using a consultative approach. * Demonstrated ability to proactively identify potential compliance concerns. * Demonstrated ability to build successful and effective relationships at all levels of the organization, as well as with external agencies and government officials. * Strong computer skills (Windows applications) and other technical tools, including applicant tracking systems and affirmative action planning software.Sprint is a great place to work for people who want to make a difference.
