Senior Campaign ROI Analyst
at Sprint Nextel in Overland Park‚ KANSAS
Job Description Provides analytical support in the development and measurement of key marketing programs aimed at reducing churn and generating sales. Functions in highly consultative capacity across Marketing, CRM, Finance to deliver data driven insights and recommendations at all levels of the organization that drive marketing strategy and shape business processes that lead to improved ROI on marketing spend.
Develops experimental research designs and statistical methods to assess effectiveness of customer treatment strategies and tactics. Responsible for campaign/program test design, program measurement, and program evaluation.
Generates campaign performance analysis (including response analysis, channel performance, targeting effectiveness, high level financial implications, etc.). Translates statistical findings and business analytics into marketing strategies. Coordinates end-to-end analytical lifecycle for an entire line of business from problem definition, analytical solution, to strategic recommendations to execution of those strategic recommendations, working with cross-functional teams.
Knowledge/Skills:
• Experience in direct marketing environment preferred. General understanding of list processing functions, deployment of customer treatment into varied channels (eg. direct, retail, web), data management, experimental design and treatment tracking set top candidates apart.
• A minimum of 5 years experience performing quantitative business analysis, experimental test design and analysis, or statistical modeling. Experience in a database, direct marketing or list targeting environment preferred. Telecommunications experience a plus.
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication. Must be able to present and explain statistical results to marketing & sales teams.
• Consultative experience, proactively working with clients to develop solutions to business problems.
• Strong project management and prioritization skills. Ability to help define a strategic, functional plan and track progress. Ability to help develop a strategic plan.
• Advanced degree or equivalent experience in quantitative discipline, such as Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, or Quantitative MBA. MS preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to use statistical packages to analyze data, generate analytical files and produce reports. Proficiency using SAS, SQL, or other analytical tools, with an emphasis on statistical analysis, programming, data manipulation and data quality management skills. SAS experience preferred. Experience with very large consumer databases (e.g. Oracle, Teradata, Sybase, DB2, MS SQL Server, etc) a plus.

Consults with decision makers to identify and define business issues requiring marketing database analysis. Translates needs into actual analysis plans and/or experimental designs. Reports analytical results and recommendations in written, verbal and presentation form. Identifies and evaluates potential data sources. This is multi incumbent and reports to a manager.

• Knowledge of PC based spreadsheet and database warehousing applications
• Experience with SAS, SPSS and other statistical software languages and applications
