Marketing Database Analyst III

Job Description Exciting opportunity available in the Database Marketing organization for an individual experienced in the development and implementation of Business Intelligence tools specifically in OLAP technologies. Successful candidate will be responsible for the development of Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services (MSAS) data cubes to support application OLAP interfaces, monthly processing of OLAP data cubes, content and reporting development based on requirements of the user community and customer requests, support for technical and business questions, troubleshooting system issues and performance enhancements, and ad hoc data investigation. Candidates should also be familiar with Business Objects and Crystal Reporting technologies for use in the design and development of static reporting.
Candidates must have SQLServer/Analysis Services experience with specific experience related to data cube development. Knowledge of Business Intelligence applications is desired, hands-on experience with Business Objects and/or Microstrategy is preferred.
Develops and designs market database analysis programs to acquire and warehouse customer information used to establish customer profiles, identify potential markets, target customers and support new sales, marketing and product opportunities and marketing strategies. Consults with decision makers and senior management regarding strategic research, planning and analysis, providing insight, knowledge and understanding of business, products and industry. Plans computerized databases, including base definition, structure, documentation, long-range requirements, operational guidelines and protection. Establishes and maintains integrity controls. Defines and implements experimental research designs and quantitative techniques using high level analytical tools. Formulates and monitors policies, procedures and standards relating to marketing database management. Proposes and implements enhancements that will improve the performance and reliability of the system. This is multi incumbent and reports to a director.
