part time Service Representative (SaskTel Store)

POSITION OVERVIEW

This is an exciting role where you will provide face-to-face customer service on all types of customer products and services. You will identify and fulfill customer Business and Residential needs and requirements. You will recommend solutions, and finalize the sale of products and/or services in a retail environment. You will also be responsible to handle a variety of customer and public inquiries and maintain, track and monitor stock inventory for products available through the retail outlet.



KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Determines customer needs and requirements in a competitive environment. Prepares sales proposals as required and recommends optimum service solutions to the customer.
2. Sells products and/or services on an initiated and/or demand basis.
3. Develops and maintains a working knowledge of SaskTel’s products, services, systems and pricing options.
4. Advises and trains customers on telecommunication solutions.
5. Prepares or arranges for completion of legal contracts, forms and credit applications.
6. Adjusts/corrects errors and/or omissions on customer accounts. Handles cash and payments.
7. Prepares associated forms for personal sales activity and those referred from other sales channels. Activates services and/or features on real time basis. Reviews service orders for accuracy.
8. Participates in sales campaigns and retention activities on an initiated and/or demand basis. Deals with customers for the purpose of retail sales, product returns and repairs, trade shows, equipment demonstrations and may be required to attend customer premises.
9. Handles all customer inquiries/complaints and resolves disputes.
10. Assists other Sales and Service Teams members with the delivery of products and services to their customer base.
11. Organizes, promotes and sells SaskTel products and services at provincial Trade Shows.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

1.

Working knowledge of techniques needed to persuasively promote the sale of products and/or services, typically gained through 2 years experience in a sales role.
2.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to deal effectively with others.
3.

Working knowledge of SaskTel and SaskTel Mobility products and services.
4.

Working knowledge of SaskTel systems used in daily job functions.
5.

Working knowledge of personal computers and various software applications.
6.

Demonstrated ability to perform multiple tasks.
7.

Keyboarding skills 20 WPM.
8.

Analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills.
9.

Ability to plan and organize in a self-directed and public environment.
10.

Ability to work under continual pressure and demonstrate the flexibility to work in a constantly changing environment.
11.

Successful completion of prescribed training courses.
