Description
The Installation and Repair Technician role is the heart of Bell Technical Solutions, providing installation, maintenance and repair on various types of telecommunication equipment and services for our customers. This opportunity provides you the with a dynamic and flexible work environment that allows you to be independent and manage your day to day work activities.
This hourly paid, unionized position typically operates at a customer’s site and/or other field location and requires the operation of a company vehicle. We offer extensive ongoing technical training and various bonus opportunities. If you love the outdoors, working with your hands, and solving complex issues, this is the position for you.
Job Activities:
? Manage your assigned work and prioritizes activities to ensure successful completion of jobs, forms and reports
? Work directly with customers to diagnose and assess the request / issue
? Provide excellent customer service with clients, while working independently outside
? Maintains working knowledge of policies and procedures and their proper application
? Ensures a clear understanding on the delivery of efficiency, service and quality targets
? Maintains inventory/assets while monitoring and ensure the security for the company vehicle and operates in accordance with Defensive Driving practices
? Adheres to all Bell Technical Solutions™ Health and Safety policies and procedures

Job Requirements
Qualities of an Installation and Repair Technician
? Professional attitude with exceptional customer service skills and a solid work ethic needed
? Strong analytical and problem solving ability along with ability to organize and multi-task
? Knowledge and comfort with laptop computer and associated operating systems
? Willingness to learn and undertake new challenges
Position Requirements
? Flexibility to work varied hours and all shifts, including weekends and holidays;
? Open to working in all weather conditions. Position requires both outdoor and indoor work at a wide variety of customer locations
? Climbing and work at heights on step and extension ladders, poles is required (confined spaces may also be required)
? Ability to distinguish colour coded wire
? Heavy lifting up to approximately 60 lbs. may be required
? Proficient in English (written & verbal)
? Minimum Grade 12 or equivalency
? Valid G2 Drivers License required along with 2 years winter driving experience.
? Clear background check with no criminal convictions for which a pardon has not been granted
