Junior Recruiter

Bell Canada’s Enterprise Group is headquartered in Ottawa, with offices in Toronto, Montreal, Quebec City, Edmonton and Calgary, making Bell Enterprise Group a National division of Bell Canada capable of delivering scalable, integrated, end-to-end solutions to government, healthcare, financial, manufacturing, utilities, transportation, and retail industries.

The Bell Contractor Resource Management Office (CRMO) is a new business unit of Bell Canada created to streamline the sourcing, recruiting and hiring of contract resources across the Enterprise Professional Services group.

We’ve come a long way in a year and have ambitious goals for the years to come. We are currently seeking an Ottawa-based Bilingual Junior Recruiter who will share our drive to continually find the perfect person for the perfect job.

Reporting to the Director, you will support 3-4 Senior Recruiters across Ottawa, Toronto, Montreal and Quebec City by managing the following tasks:

• Assist Recruiters in sourcing CV’s for hard-to-find skill-sets based on set search criteria
• Manage the CRMO Inbox and distribute to appropriate Practice Leaders and Sales/Solutions Specialists
• In order to do this, you will have the ability to read referenced emails and attached documents in order to understand required action – this will require an innate ability to be resourceful to fully understand the internal client base
• Assist in RFP and bid preparation
• Create and manage Job Orders in Applicant Tracking tool and ensure all data is accurate and updated at all times
• Create Contractor Approval requests and manage through entire approval lifecycle
• Maintain and update documentation of CRMO frameworks/methodologies
• Assist in managing “contractor care” and “talent attraction” events
• Manage Applicant Tracking tool Inbox of unsolicited resumes including editing candidate profiles as well as ensuring all record fields are properly populated
• Manage contractor/candidate status’ to ensure records are up to date - this could entail making quarterly calls to contractors in the database and updating required information
• Continuously seek ways to contribute to the team, take on new projects and manage to implementation when required

As the successful candidate, you will:

• Ideally have 3-6 months experience as a Junior Recruiter in a Staffing Agency, however, not required
• Have a strong desire to grow into a “Career” Senior Recruiter and be a recognized leader in the field of recruiting
• Thrive in a start-up environment and be eager to contribute to new programs, procedures, ideas and practices, while adopting those already established
• Have a desire to develop, implement and project manage new recruitment practices and projects
• Will be well-versed in social networking tools (LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook)
• Have an innate sense of urgency and ability to prioritize
• Be fluent in both French and English (mandatory)

While previous recruitment experience is not essential, it will be your strong work ethic, your ability to work efficiently with large volumes of requirements, your attention to detail, your ability to handle competing priorities, and, most importantly, your natural ability to identify gaps combined with your initiative to ‘take the ball and run with it’, that will be the attributes that make you successful in this role.

If you have experience working with an Applicant Tracking System or experience in a Staffing Agency that’s even better!
