Legal Counsel
at Mobistar in Brussel, Belgium

Mission :
In charge of the providing legal services to a business unit
Key responsabilities area :
< Provide legal solutions in a high technological and rapidly changing environment (residential sales, business and wholesale market for fix, mobile and data products and services);
< Draft all types of contracts mainly Telecom and IT;
< Negotiate contracts with internal and external customers;
< Handle litigation files in close cooperation with external lawyers;
< Proactively improve/optimize existing documents and procedures in order to reduce legal exposure
Major interactions :
< Business unit: department Director and operational teams and senior management (handle complaints, give pro-active advice)
< External law office (handle legal files)
< Official authorities (deal with complaints and questions)
< Professional organizations (participate in workgroups on new and existing legislation)
Specific expertise :
< Knowledge of copy right law and medialaw
< Good knowledge of the market place and all company products and services
Education, specific training and experience :
< Education : University degree in law
< Experience : 5 to 10 years preferably in a law firm or legal department of a company
< Experience in drafting commercial contracts.
< Experience in commercial, contract and IP and IT law
Interpersonal skills :
< Excellent communicator : outstanding interpersonal and negotiation skills
< Influencing skills
< Counseling
< Good analytical and drafting skills
< Customer oriented
< Fluency in Dutch, French and English is required
